Motivation: Diego discusses the works of notable psychologists, great leaders in business and politics, entrepreneurs, and student leaders over the past years. Diego helps a group understand what made these individuals such successful motivators and equips you with the skills and knowledge you need to motivate your peers.
Hazing Prevention: Much feedback we get from students is the over-education of what hazing is and why it is destructive to organizations. Using personal experiences as an undergraduate and his career in Fraternity & Sorority Life, Diego takes this education beyond the redundancy and helps students understand the mental triggers that cause hazing cultures. He works with students to analyze the domino effect of silence and to explore effective bystander intervention methods.
Accountability: Understanding accountability is to understand how people work with people. Before the big argument, the failed event, the expelled member, and before the organizational breakdown...accountability likely never existed. With his background as a Greek and club advisor, Diego takes you on a journey that explores great accountable organizations and helps you understand and use the philosophies and practices of past successful leaders.
Effective Organizations: Organizations are the root of human triumph over all obstacles and the power of people and groups has shown its strength over centuries. Experiences in his college student government, student clubs, national associations, and non-profit organizations help Diego relate these dynamics to college students. Diego works with groups of student leaders to identify their current values, create systems for accountability, and utilize technology as a tool not a crutch.
Ethical Leadership: As a former fraternity president himself, Diego understands the burden of ethical decisions when no one is there to hold your hand through the process. While students are expected to be ethical leaders, very few students learn how to identify ethical leadership. Diego provides real life examples of ethical dilemmas in higher education, business, and politics, and he provides students the tools to navigate these situations.
